The Chillington Canterbury Fork Hoe is a Hoe which falls in between a traditional garden fork and a rake.

It is perfectly designed for disrupting weed growth by loosening the soil.

The Canterbury Fork Hoe is just the right width to speedily allow you to break up and disrupt weed growth in between your plants and also strong enough to break up large clods of soil. Great for grabbing hold of weed and grass clumps without having to bend.

Perfect Tool For Raised Beds

This Hoe has recently become a best selling favourite because of the apparently new way or very popular way of vegetable growing using "raised beds," and this is because when planting out the Fork Hoe's 7" prongs are just the right depth to disrupt the soil to allow planting and root growth. All the gardener has to do is rake the raised bed soil with the Canterbury Fork, and this seems to be enough for dislodging any growing weeds and prepare for the next set of root crops. The 4ft long handle allows the gardener to access their whole growing area without having to stand in or on their raised beds, and because the Canterbury Fork has only 3 prongs and is only 4.5" wide, this work can be carried out by people who may not be the "strongest of gardeners" as it requires less strength than the larger Fork Hoes to use.

This tool is also used by those gardeners who have adopted their own "no dig" policy as the forks prongs are just right for breaking and loosening the soil where plants are to be inserted and grown, so keeping soil disturbance to a minimum

The Canterbury Fork hoe is not meant to be used for digging virgin ground, but is intended to be used in broken ground.
