Robustly constructed with a centre rib for strength this Heavy Duty / Digging Hoe by Chillington. Made to last and will double as a Trenching Hoe.

Seen here easily digging up virgin grassland. Faster, easier and less strenuous than a traditional spade...Why ?....It is really quite simple because when using a spade or even a fork, after you have forced the spade or fork into the ground you then have to use muscles and joints in your legs, bottom, back and arms to lift the soil.

But when using this Chillington Heavy Duty / Digging Hoe, the weight of the Hoe head helps bury the Hoe in the ground and then the long shaft/handle acts as a lever which breaks loose the soil and lifts it clear of the ground, so you do not use the same muscles to any where near the same degree required when using a traditional fork or spade.

Easy...and thats why farmers and workers who spend all day out in the field working the land and tending crops use only a Chillington Hoe.

If you look at the Heavy Duty Hoe blade you can see it is purposely sharp for chopping up weeds and their root systems, infact with the added weight of the Heavy Duty Hoe you will find it will also chop through the smaller roots of some trees, infact it is a fantastic ground clearence tool which will smash and clear the most over grown bramble/bush covered area you could possible have including the roots.

The Heavy Duty hoe is designed for use on virgin ground and unbroken soil.

Both the hoe head and the handle will have the Chillington crocodile stamp clearly marked them on genuine Chillington products.
