Sometimes called Trenching Azadas

The Chillington Trenching Hoe is a digging hoe and used for fast trenching work and earthing up of potatoes and other crops, also used for verge control, edging and banking.

The Trenching Hoe is of similar size to the Heavy Duty/Digging Hoe but lighter. This Hoe could be used for digging of broken ground and general garden digging because of its robust construction, but for general trenching work it is much faster and easier than a traditional spade.

If you look at the Trenching Hoe blade you can see it is sharp for chopping up weeds and their root systems so perfect for ground clearence of small bush and brambles etc etc.

Quite a few of these Trenching hoes have been purchased by Archaeologists as they find them great for scrapping back the soil without stooping too much and for the general ground clearence and excavation work that they do, simply because they find them easier and quicker to work with.

The Chillington Trenching Hoe is made from forged steel so made to last which we suppose is a perfect eco-tool because we hope you will only ever need to purchase one in your lifetime.

The Trenching hoe is a digging hoe and can be used on virgin ground.

Both the hoe head and the handle will have the Chillington crocodile stamp clearly marked them on genuine Chillington products.
